Dear Esteemed Members, Colleagues, and Friends,

It gives me immense pleasure and honour to extend my warm greetings to all members of the Association of Neuroscientists of Eastern India (ANEI).

As President of this esteemed association, I feel privileged to be part of a vibrant community of neurologists, neuroscientists, researchers, academicians, and young professionals who share a common commitment to advancing neuroscience and improving neurological care. ANEI has continually served as an important platform for scientific learning, academic excellence, professional collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge and ideas.

The field of neuroscience is evolving rapidly, bringing new insights into the understanding, diagnosis, and management of neurological disorders. In this dynamic landscape, our collective responsibility is to promote evidence-based clinical practice, encourage innovative research, strengthen academic activities, and foster meaningful collaboration across institutions and disciplines. I firmly believe that through sustained scientific engagement and shared expertise, we can make significant contributions to neurological science and patient care.

One of our foremost priorities is to encourage and empower the next generation of neuroscientists. By providing opportunities for mentorship, research, academic interaction, and professional development, ANEI aims to nurture young talent and inspire future leaders in neuroscience. Through our conferences, scientific meetings, workshops, virtual academic programmes, and publications, we will continue to build an inclusive and supportive environment where knowledge is shared, ideas are encouraged, and excellence is pursued.

As we look towards the future, I envision ANEI growing stronger through active participation, collaborative initiatives, and a renewed commitment to its academic and scientific mission. I invite all members to contribute their ideas, expertise, and enthusiasm towards expanding the reach and impact of our association. Together, we can strengthen our scientific community, promote excellence in neuroscience, and extend the benefits of our collective efforts to society at large.

I express my sincere gratitude to our senior members, past presidents, office bearers, Executive Committee members, and all colleagues for their continued guidance, dedication, and support. I also warmly welcome our younger members and new colleagues to actively participate in the activities of ANEI and help shape its future.

Dear Seniors , Friends & Colleagues

ANEI, an association build by sincere and untiring efforts of our senior neuroscientists, is now a big vibrant tree with 500 members spanning 12 states of Eastern India. The objective of ANEI is to have collaboration, professional exchange of thoughts and off course friendship and camaderie amongst neuroscientists of this region.

ANEI has been organizing two conferences a year ANEICON & MIDANEICON – and this provides wonderful opportunity to showcase the tremendous amount of good work in neurosciences that is being done in eastern India. The award paper session gives a platform to young neuroscientists to present their quality research and analysis.

ANEI has started collaborating with various other medical societies for common exchange of knowledge and friendship.

The Neurological Society of India(NSI) has accepted ANEI as one of its affiliates – thus opening vistas for a wider audience of our activities. ANEI will be hosting the NSICON 2024 in Kolkata and it will be a great honor to host the glitterati of neurosciences from all over India.

ANEI is relaunching our journal JANEI in few weeks’ time, and it will be another forum to showcase your good work. Please feel free to send your articles to the editor.

ANEI is also doing public awareness programme regularly on subjects like head injury, stroke etc for sensitizing common people about various diseases, prevention and initial treatment. Come, be a member, and join this movement. We need you all. Long Live ANEI.
