RULES

Award for Best Paper Publication
The journals may be divided into four categories based on their latest available impact factors (IF) as published in the most recent Thomson Reuter Journal Citation Report.
For Journals with an impact factor (IF) of 8.0 or more, the first author of the paper shall be awarded a sum of Rs 60,000 for a full-length original research paper; a sum of Rs 40,000 for a short research paper and Rs 20,000 for a case report or series.
For Journals With an IF of 5.0-7.9, the first author of the paper shall be awarded a sum of Rs 45,000 for a full-length original research paper; a sum of Rs30,000 for a short research paper and Rs 15,000 for a case report or series.
For Journals with an IF of 2.0-4.9, the first author of the paper shall be awarded a sum of Rs 30,000 for a full-length original research paper; a sum of Rs 20,000 for short research paper and Rs 10,000 for a case report or series.
For Journals with an IF of less than 2.0, the first author of the paper shall be awarded a sum of Rs 24,000 for a full-length original research paper; a sum of Rs16,000 for a short research paper and Rs 8,000 for a case report or series.

A special case is proposed for publications in JANEI. The Editor will arrange for accepted but yet unpublished articlesto be suitably anonymized, peer-reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers and independently scored according to set parameters. A total of 10 best articles for the year gone by will be selected (including original research papers and case-reports). The first author of the paper shall be awarded a sum of Rs 10,000 for an original research paper, and Rs 4,000 for a case series of 3 or more patients. Articles will only be considered if they have not been published in a similar form or with similar intellectual content in any other journal. The prize and the citations for articles published in the previous November-September period will be handed over to the author at the time of the Annual Conference of ANEI (typically held in November each year). Authors must be prepared to present their papers in the annual Conference of ANEI, if requested b the executive committee.

For an author to be eligible the following criteria has to be met :-

The author must be the first author of the paper

The author must be a postgraduate student or must have achieved DM/MCh/PhD/M Phil or their equivalent qualifications not more than 5 years earlier to the time of submission of the article

The first author must be a member of ANEI with no membership dues at the time of submission of the article to the journal

The Paper should have been accepted / published after the previous ANEICON

How to Apply

An electronic copy of the published paper, together with a hard copy of the journal where available, should be provided to ANEI Secretariat. The last date of application will be 30th September every year. The applications must be submitted to the conference secretariat at the following address:-
