The ANEI family is deeply saddened and shocked at the premature demise of our past President Dr.Sandip Chatterjee.
Dr Sandip Chatterjee was one of the pillars of ANEI and was responsible to make ANEI the flagship organisation of the neuroscientists of Eastern India. His ability to bond easily with colleagues, his smiling demeanour and his vast knowledge of the subject attracted others like a magnet. He was a true teacher and his love for disseminating knowledge earned him great respect and love from students and residents. Dr. Chatterjee never missed a single ANEI conference and everybody looked forwards to hear him speak, guide students and organisers and enjoying his social presence.
Dr. Chatterjee was a founder member of the ANEI constitution and was past Treasurer, Secretary, Editor and President of ANEI during his illustrious career.
It was with Dr. Sandip’s effort that ANEI recently became an affiliate society of NSI and is hosting the NSICON 2024 in coming December.
Dr. Sandip leaves behind his wife Dr.Uttara and son Dr.Sambit and the ANEI family joins them in their grief and loneliness.
He will always remain within us in his deeds and ANEI pledges to carry his torch forwards in the path shown by him.
May he continue to guide us forever from the stars....
